Made by Artemis, Fresh Mix Small Breed Dog Food is a scientifically formulated holistic dog food made to meet the nutritional requirements of small breed dogs, taking into account their particular breed characteristics. Small dogs are those who weigh up to 20 pounds at maturity.
All proteins are selected from USDA-inspected plants, and the inclusion of fresh meat in the formula enhances the nutrient profile and palatability. Artemis includes balanced levels of Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids and herbs, which are vital for healthy skin, lustrous coat and maintaining and promoting natural wellness. Contains Yucca Schidigera extract, also, which reduces both body and waste odor. Fresh Mix is free of chemicals, preservatives, artificial additives and by-products.
Small breed dogs and puppies have a very limited capacity to digest starch. Therefore, a diet consisting of low starch and high meat protein is crucial. Recognizing this special nutritional need, Artemis has formulated Fresh Mix Small Breed dry dog food with seven different sources of protein. They have also utilized fresh fruits and vegetables to replace hard to digest grains, thereby lowering the starch content. The proper nutritional balance helps puppies transition into healthy adults and enables adults to stay healthy.

Small breed dogs will burn two times as many calories as a larger breed. Fresh Mix Small Breed Formula is formulated with the correct balance of protein/fat ratio (29/18). Feeding amounts may vary by breed, activity level, environment, temperament and climate. Artemis Small Breed Adult has been scientifically formulated with the correct balance of vitamins/minerals. Thus, it is not recommended for you to add any supplementation unless instructed by a veterinarian.
