The Pad Bed is constructed of 100% organically grown cotton printed with low-impact dyes from Harmony Art. This vibrant dark teal fabric has a bright green pattern, inspired by the center of flowers, and is accented with a coordinating bright green piping. As always, it is generously stuffed with organic kapok.
Cover is zippered for easy removal and laundering-- just machine wash in the gentle cycle with organic soap and then air dry. The kapok insert should not require washing. Kapok is water repellent, does not absorb odors and is naturally resistant to mold. The insert can be refreshed by placing it outside in the sun or in the dryer on a cool setting with a few clean tennis balls.

Never heard of kapok? Well, you've been missing out! The "cotton" of the Kapok Tree is a sustainable rainforest crop that comes from the renewable source of its seeds. It provides a super-soft, down-like feel and a nontoxic, chemical free environmentally-friendly alternative to commonly used fiberfill.
