Timberwolf Organics does not put vitamin K3 (menadione sodium bisulfate) in any of their formulas because of health risks to animals and rely instead on high levels of foods that are high in vitamin k1 such as alfalfa, kelp, oats, egg yolk, and liver.

Timberwolf uses a low temperature extrusion process which uses steam and pressure to gelatinize the starches quickly at about 200 - 225 degrees F for 15 minutes or less, enabling more nutrients to be retained.
