We're starting to get those days I love about Denver... clear blue skies and a little hint of warm in the air. Great to get out and breathe in that mountain air and just be happy to be here.
Gretel has been running like crazy these days... she keeps us on her toes and likes wading in the pond out back. Just enough to let that Chesapeake Bay heritage enjoy the cold water, and not enough to actually get chilly!
Looking forward to spring, or at least the crocuses that peek through what snow is left on the ground!
We had a gloriously snowy Christmas here in Colorado this year!
We woke up to a blanket of white snow and it continued all day until after sundown. Now we're spending today shoveling out and getting ready for another dose of snow tomorrow. Good for the holiday spirit, great for the skiing!
Gretel spent the day yesterday pouncing through the white stuff and snoozing on her eco nap. Ahh, the life of a dog in Colorado-- not sure you can beat it!
I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving... just a few more days to get ready and there's still so much to do! We're hosting Thanksgiving this year, but we'll just be having great friends join us since none of our family can make it. I've heard rumors it could snow here...I hope so! Then the apple cider that's warming all day smells extra cozy and the kids and dogs get to burn off energy running around the neighborhood and building snow people (and dogs and cats and...) before we eat. Of course, what Thanksgiving is complete without some time spent snuggled by the fire? Whatever plans you've got this year, we hope you have a day of good food, great company and priceless memories.
Oh, and please continue to send in dog photos for the blog! We've gotten some more wonderful pictures, and I'll be adding them gradually over the next week or so. If you have a special dog photo from holidays past, those pictures would be most welcome, too! It's a wonderful time of year!
Fall just screams dogs to us! Crisp weather, bright days mixed with snowy bursts and lots of beautiful, crackly leaves... Not too hot to discourage a lot of activity, not too cold to keep a dog inside snuggled in bed. Just lots of rustling colors and maybe a fallen apple or two (or three)!
Since it's good doggy weather, we thought it would be great to share some fun dog pictures we've received recently and encourage you to send in a picture of your pup for our blog, too! If you've bought something from us and would like to share a picture of your four legged companion enjoying your purchase, we'd love to share those photos on our site, too!
Just email us a photo at leaddog@globaldognaturalpetproducts.com and we'll let you know when they've been published!
We're counting down to Halloween with a friendly reminder to make sure your dog stays out of the chocolate goodies next week.
